“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” — Proverbs 24:3-4
Prophet, priest, and king. Many theologians have talked about Biblical leaders in terms of these three offices. The Order Maker, if anything, is a kingly Warrior subtype. Our “God is not a God of disorder” defines the ordering of his life. The Order Maker revels in making structures and organizing. He is in many ways the administratively minded worker, who follows behind the Explorer subtypes — the Path Carver, the Trail Guide, and the Entrepreneur. He may not be a start, but he brings strength and order to the creative chaos started by the other subtypes.
In foreign lands, order can be in short supply. That disorder is not only found in the people you are trying to reach. It can be found in missionary teams, local believers, and mission organizations. Moses learned this as he took the Israelites out of Egypt. Thankfully, Jethro, his father-in-law, was a type of an Order Maker. (Exodus 18:17-23)
Teams need order and leadership. The kingly Order Maker can provide this. With more experience, he may later apply those skills in ordering a denomination or sending organization to better support God’s Kingdom purposes. Similarly, the Order Maker can provide stability to wavering businesses or humanitarian efforts partnered in God’s Kingdom work.
With proper order, an orderly God is made known, so thanks be to the Order Makers. May he strive with wisdom and understanding to build the Kingdom of the Lord and to thwart the liar Satan. In his knowledge, God shall bless his works with precious and pleasant riches.
