“And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” — Isaiah 30:21

Our God is the ultimate guide. In His infinite wisdom and generosity, He often chooses to use men to deliver His earthly guidance. The Trail Guide leads as one of God's humble representatives.

In a genuine love for a place, a people, a culture, the Trail Guide passionately masters a new land. Think about the dozens of men, who can tell you about every facet of a National Park, the local baseball team, or some niche music genre. Their passion is contagious. You begin to love the object of their passion because of their excitement. The Trail Guide is also your friend who knows all the cool, hidden places to eat and enjoy sharing that knowledge with others.

Overseas, the Trail Guide works hand in hand with the Path Carver. While the Path Carver blazes trails into new places, the Trail Guide specializes in exploring a place in depth and sharing it with others. He is the along-sider partnering with newcomers and helping them integrate into the new country, culture, and people. If he utilizes an integrated business in his ministry, he could be a literal tour guide or outdoorsman, pairing his profession with reaching far-off people. Often he is highly gifted and skilled in shepherding, wanting to develop others to know, love, and serve the lost of the land.

Do you have enthusiasm to spare? Or a love to explore alongside others? Then you might be a Trail Guide. If so, love people, their culture and home. And share that passion with others that your love might spread to others.
