  • What is the aim of the Single Male Missionary project?
Our aim is twofold. The first is to send more single men to serve the Lord in mission. Second, we do not just wish to send more men, but we want to send more competent men. Our heart is for single men, who are competent and formidable, to go forth into the nations to build the Kingdom of God, defeat the Enemy, and know our glorious King.
  • Why aren't single men going overseas?
This is a question with no single answer. Much can be said about the desire to be married, financial burdens, and sin issues; but ultimately we would say it boils down to discipleship. Broadly speaking the western church has failed to disciple men, and therefore has failed to raise up capable men to go overseas. But our focus is not on the negative. Our gracious God has persistently developed exceptional men, who have a heart for the nations. We seek to reach these single men, to answer their questions, and to share how they have a unique opportunity to serve the Lord among the nations.
  • Is the Single Male Missionary project connected to any organization?
No. While our members serve with various ministries, we deliberately avoid promoting one organization over another. Our site and resources are oriented towards reaching single men and reframing the conversation for sending organizations.
  • What is unique about the Single Male Missionary project's approach to mobilizing single men?
We have a single focus, specifically single men. Ten years before Isaiah Khan's departure for the field, he continually looked for a proper opportunity and example of missions as a single man. He heard from plenty of married men and women and single women, but he never met any single male missionaries or heard someone speak to those interests. And today, if you Google "single male missionary", you will only find articles about why there are no single male workers or articles that append "fe" in front of male. Our project looks to remedy these issues and advance the conversation forward.
